Chapter Update: 5/12/2025

 

Hello battle brethren! Unfortunately I don't have any lists to share with you today. That's not to say that Dark Angels lists didn't do well over the weekend, because according to Meta Monday three did. However, I can't find them. Meta Monday only has a listing for one of them, Master Neptune Warhammer, and I can't find that event on BCP. That leads me to believe it's listed by some other aggregator, but the only two I'm aware of are BCP and Miniheadquarters.com, and an event with that name is not listed in either. I went through all the events BCP has listed and I didn't find any DA lists that went X/1. No shade at Meta Monday, they're doing an enormous amount of work on a weekly basis on basically a hobby basis. I'm just letting you know why there's no list discussion this week. That being the case, we'll jump to statistics.

Statistics

According to Meta Monday, it was not a great week for Dark Angels as a whole. We had 20 players who scored a 40% win rate, but on the upside 3 X/1 results are listed. 

The best-performing detachment was the Stormlance, bucking the trend with a 55% win rate and all 3 of the X/1 results. It was also the second most-played, with 7 players.

The most played detachment was the Gladius, with 8 players who sadly brought in a 37% win rate. 

2 players played the Inner Circle Task Force and got a dismal 20% win rate.

1 player played a Company of Hunters and got a 40% win rate.

UTF Guy apparently took the weekend off, and his understudy didn't perform as well. 1 player played the Unforgiven Task Force and got a 40% win rate. 

Factions/Detachments to Watch Out For

Aeldari Devoted of Ynnead continues to make this list, with 19 players scoring a 57% win rate, 5 X-results, and 1 event win.

Necron Starshatter Arsenal made it back over the 55% win rate mark, with 12 players getting  a 56% win rate and 2 X-results.

Adeptus Custodes was the winningest overall faction, with 28 players scoring a 54% win rate, 6 X-results, and 1 event win. 18 of those players played the Lions of the Emperor detachment and earned a mixed bag of results, with a 49% win rate, but 3 X-results and the event win. 2 players played the Talons of the Emperor detachment for a whopping 82% win rate, and as you can imagine they both brought in X-results. 5 players played the Shield Host to a 60% win rate and the last X-result. The last 3 players played the Solar Spearhead and scored a 50% win rate.

Happy New Year battle brethren! After a 2-week break for the holidays, we have had GTs take place once again! Despite us probably entering the beginnings of the Ultramarines meta (at least as far as top-performing Space Marine lists goes), some Dark Angels lists did place well at their events, including winning the biggest event of the weekend. Lists of the Week: Top Performers 11/4/2024

  Hello battle brethren! It was a good weekend for Dark Angels! We had two event winners and four other players rank highly at events. It certainly appears that our top players are managing with the points increased inflicted on us. Without further ado, let's take a look at what they're doing.  Beginning with our event winners, I'll start with Jak Payne, who took a Stormlance Task Force to go 5-0 and take first place at the Dark Sphere November GT, a 5-round, 64-player event held in England. Lists of the Week: 3/24/2025

Hello battle brethren! Another weekend has come and gone. That weekend only yielded 2 lists to talk about, but one of them is Toby Bennett's Stormlance Task Force, which he played to go 5-1 at The South-Coast 40k Super-Major, a 5-round, 243 player event with the top players facing off against each other after the 5th round. Toby's list wound up falling to the hellaciously-broken Ork More Dakka! detachment (3 of the 4 top bracket lists were More Dakka! lists, and they took the top 3 spots). The Tobinator took 5th place, doing Black Crow Gaming proud.
