Angel's Keep: A 40K Dark Angels Blog

  Greetings honored battle brethren! Games Workshop has released a dataslate and some points changes that we should all be aware of. I don't mind the changes, but I'm not 100% enthusiastic about them. Let's take a look at it and you'll see what I mean. I'm going to lead with changes to the Ravenwing, because I was playing a Ravenwing list for a year before it became fashionable, and there's a lot of excitement about them at this moment early in 11th edition. For starters, Sammael has unambiguously been buffed. He's 10 points cheaper and grants his unit the Mobile keyword, which allows his attached unit to go through walls. This is huge, as that's one ability that has been severely lacking in the Company of Hunters, and finally gives us a solid reason to include him in that detachment, especially if we're pairing it with Darkflight Pursuit so he can also grant his squad Ignores Cover.  Greetings honored battle brethren! There were three big events over the weekend, which between them and the more normal sized events attracted 53 Dark Angels players! That crop of players gave me an embarrassment of riches to draw from, including a win at the second biggest event of the weekend! I'm excited to bring this news to all of you! The top event of the week belongs to Innes Wilson, who combined an Inner Circle Task Force and a Librarius Conclave (Priority Assets dispo) and used it to go 7-0 and take 1st out of 231 players at The Endinburgh 40K Super Major held in Edinburgh, Scotland. Greetings honored battle brethren! The weekend has come and gone, and in its wake we have news of the tragedies and triumphs of the First Legion Dark Angels Chapter! Dark Angels were pretty well represented over the weekend, with a solid 6 X/0-X/1 results and 3 podium finishes. Based on podium finishes, we weren't the best Space Marines, with both Ultramarines and, surprisingly, Salamanders beating us out, but this week at least we were ahead of all the other contenders. Let's take a look at some of these lists and see what we can learn from them. It was quite a sweltering 4th of July weekend for a lot of us here in the United States, and as you can imagine, a weekend with a major national holiday didn't see a lot of 40K events in our country. However, the rest of the world picked up the slack, so we have some lists to talk about. I'm excited to cover both an event-winning list and one that took 3rd place at another event. In addition to that, no less than three lists went 4-1 at The Birmingham 40K Super Major. So, without further ado, let's take a look at some of these exciting lists!   Greetings honored battle brethren! We have had the first full weekend of 11th edition! It wasn't a huge weekend, with only 12 events, but that 12 events gave us 10 distinctly different combinations of detachments, which complicates compiling the data from them some little bit. The weekend generated 2 lists that rate examining in my blog, so let's get to those.  The first list we're looking at is Nicholas Chesnick's Company of Hunters + Dark Ange Arsenal list, with which he went 5-0 and took 2nd out of 34 players out at Hellpit Grand Tournament 2026 in  Brunswick, OH.
