  Hello battle brethren! Once again I'm here to bring you the news of the weekend. Dark Angels players went in on the Wrath of the Rock detachment in a big way, with the vast majority of players using it. Results for it were mixed, with not inspiring numbers, but one Wrath list did place well. First, though, I'm going to start us off with the best performing list of the weekend, which was a Company of Hunters list! Our top list from the weekend was played by James Walsh of Coors Light Saedath, who we've seen perform well before. He took his Company of Hunters list to the Mountain West Classic Grand Tournament '25 - Warhammer 40K event in Utah, the biggest event of the weekend with 126 players. He went 5-1 and placed 4th!  Hello battle brethren! Sorry this came out so late. I have no excuse for the tardiness, I've just been slothful about getting to the blog article this week. To be fair, there wasn't much for me to be excited about, as it was a bad weekend for the First Legion. A Dark Angels list did win one small event, and one list did respectably well at Warhammer Open Edmonton, but for the most part the results have been pretty disappointing.  Our event winner was played at the Saltire Warhammer 40k Open Two, a 5-round, 12 player event held in Scotland. Stat Check's Innes Wilson went 5-0 to take 1st place with a Wrath of the Rock list. Hello battle brethren! I'm excited to tell you I used the new Wrath of the Rock detachment for the first time at an RTT this past Saturday, at Phantasm Gaming in Branford CT. If you're within a reasonable driving distance, I highly recommend it. They have a good setup on 40K days, with high tables so you don't kill your back, the tables have extra space for staging your stuff, they have good terrain, plenty of space to move around, and the registration fee for RTTs includes pizza for lunch. Anyway, there were 26 players at the event. I went 2-1 and took 4th place. You can see the BCP entry for the event here . Hello battle brethren! This is the first weekend we've been live with upgrades to Lion Dad and a new detachment to try, so I'm excited to see how they've been put to use! We have three lists to look at, one of which was an event winner, so without further ado let's take a look at that! Our first list was the top list at the I GT de Tomelloso held in Tomelloso Spain. This was a 5-round, 22 player event. Nymerio Stark (which may be the coolest name ever) of La Comunidad del Achillo went 4-0-1 with a Company of Hunters list. Hello battle brethren! As we're struggling with our near-rock bottom win rate, we've been hoping for some help from Games Workshop. Other than giving Lion Dad some pretty significant tweaks, what we got was a new detachment - Wrath of the Rock . It's not what I'd have done, but it's not nothing. So, let's take a look at this detachment and see what we think about it. Detachment Rule: Dutiful Tenacity After the Lion's Blade's detachment rule with all its terms and conditions, this one is nice, simple, and pretty far reaching. All attacks targeting Infantry or Mounted units with a Strength higher than the target unit's Toughness subtract 1 from the Wound roll. That's pretty nice. Easy to remember, easy to understand, easy to explain to opponents, and a net increase in durability, particularly for units like Deathwing Knights, who generally aren't being targeted by chaff-chewing weapons.  Enhancements Tempered in Battle (10 points): 6" aur...

I apologize for this article getting out so late. In my defense, food poisoning laid me low at the beginning of the week. Our list for this week was played at the Nailhammer 8 - 2k 2 Day Tournament held in Wellington Court, England, a 5-round, 30 player event.
