Hello battle brethren! I'm here with the news of the weekend.  The first list we'll look at was played at Leoben 40K Singles 2025 - Alpine Cup event held in Proleb, Austria. At this 5-round, 219 player event, Konrad Schmuck of WARHEIMER went 4-0-1 and took 6th place with his Gladius Task Force, which is a very impressive result! Not many of us can claim to have gone undefeated at a 200-player event! You can see Konrad's list on BCP, and we'll discuss it below. Dark Angels  (Konrad! Come up with more creative list names!) Know the Foe: Aeldari Devoted of Ynnead

Hello battle brethren! In addition to bringing you news of what Dark Angels lists are doing well, I also like to do an analysis of forces we're likely to see across the table from us. Hot factions are often the most widely played, so those are the logical candidates for this kind of analysis.  One of the hotter factions in the game is the Aeldari, with the Devoted of Ynnead detachment by far the most widely played and highest scoring. According to Meta Monday, the weekend of April 12-13, out of 71 Aeldari players who attended GT or bigger events, the Ynnead detachment had 34 players, a 63% win rate, and 12 of the Aeldari's 16 X/0-X/1 results, including the one event win. That seems like a detachment that's hot for a nerf, and you'd think Games Workshop would have hit it at the same time they hit the Orks More Dakka! detachment, but the Ynnead detachment escaped the nerf bat that hit More Dakka!. Even when it does get nerfed, Games Workshop may not hit it so hard that i...

Hello battle brethren! Another weekend has passed, and with it comes some glory for the First Legion chapter! It is my honor to bring you word of our brethren who have performed well at the weekend's events. As of this writing, Meta Monday hasn't updated yet, so I'm going with the simple expedient of going through BCP's event listings in order, and much to my surprise and delight, I got a hit on the first one. Not only that, but a Dark Angels list won the event, the USA Charity Cup played in Boulder City, NV, a 6-round, 40 player event. Evan Stump of Xenos Petting Zoo went 5-1 with a Gladius Task Force and took 1st place, breaking like a 3-month streak of no event wins for Dark Angels! You can see Evan's list on BCP, and we'll discuss it below. 2x repex Azrael - Warlord Lieutenant with Combi-weapon Assault Intercessors with Jump Packs: 5 flying choppy boys Assault Intercessors with Jump Packs: 5 flying choppy boys Assault Intercessors with Jump Packs: 5 fl...

Hello battle brethren! We have quite a few lists to look at this week, so buckle up for a long one.  It was Adepticon weekend, which is a big deal for 40K enthusiasts. It's a big deal for us too, because we had Dark Angels list make the top cut! James Tilley of Rising Tide Gaming went 3-1-1 and scored 31st out of 296 with an Unforgiven Task Force! I would not have predicted the top DA list at Adepticon would be a UTF! You can see Jame's list on BCP, and we'll take a look at it below. From the top rope - it’s Lion… The “El”…. J-J-Johnson!
